Favourite Floyd Tracks: Learning to Fly, Shine on, Coming back to life, On the Turning Away......and so on.
Introduction To Pink Floyd: My brother, who introduced me to a lot of music, recorded Live in Venice off the TV when I was about 15, I must have watched it 100 times! I was blown away by the level of musicianship, not only by the band themselves but also by the session musicians involved, especially Tim Renwick.
Background: I have been playing guitar and drums in various bands since I was 13 years of age, these have always been based around the Northampton area and include The Acoustic Boys, Uncle Rubins Buscuit Barrell (don't ask!!!)
I'm currently one half of a successful duo called The Covers with long term friend Phil Green.
In 1996 i attended the Guitar Institute in London, I left feeling confused and not really motivated to further my musical interests and didn't really pick the guitar up for 5 years and made the mistake of selling all my gear.
In 2002 I bought a cheap Squire Affinity Telecaster on a whim, and haven't looked back since.
| Chris says - ‘I am very excited about Time to Breathe's future, I have had to scratch up on my early Floyd and have enjoyed every minute of it, the music is timeless.......how could I not be excited?!'
Equipment: Guitars: White Mexican Strat fitted with 'Hotrails' bridge pickup and USA Strat middle and neck pickups.
Epiphone Les Paul, fitted with original Les Paul pickups, I actually went into London to purchase a Les Paul, I had the money in my pocket, ended up playing this guitar and fell in love with it, saving the best part of a grand in the process.
Acoustic: Haven't decided yet!!
Amplification: Line 6 Flextone III (2x12) and pedal board, a great amp, providing the versatility needed for a Pink Floyd Tribute Band.
