Introduction To Pink Floyd:
My first Introduction was 1979 the release of The Wall, my favourite album.

I was standing in my school grounds one break time and I heard Another Brick In The Wall and this led me to the album and I have been hooked since!

Background
:
It was around 1974 and I was 11 years old when one evening I saw an advert on TV, a band called The Shadows were advertising a new album. I bought myself the 'The Shadows 20 Golden Greats' LP and this was to be the start of my playing career!

I tried to convince my parents to buy me a guitar and amp, but they were having none of it, they were convinced people got electrocuted by these devil instruments! I saved hard and bought a cheap and nasty acoustic and even that my parents moaned was too loud!

Things naturally progressed and my first band evolved from jamming in a local music store on Saturday afternoons, we even drew crowds - what a rush at just 12!

Bands came and went over the next five years as I played all the standard classics in smokey working men's clubs and by this time, my influence had moved from Hank Marvin to Brian May!

It was around this time that I also discovered Pink Floyd and I managed to get 'Brick' and 'Comfortably  Numb' put into the set list of the band I was with at the time.

In 1995 I put together 'The Humping Toads' and it wasn't long before we'd built a strong following in the region playing mostly Queen songs along with a few from Pink Floyd. We soon found ourselves playing the main stage at the Derngate Theatre with our own dressing rooms and an allocation of backstage passes and even a rider!

We decided to do some demos and armed with these things were starting to happen for us, but I felt something was not right with my health and my fears were confirmed as ill health took its toll and I took the painful decision to leave the band. I was diagnosed with diabetes and was unable to play for almost 3 years.

Eventually things improved and my son Darren encouraged me to return to playing, as I did so, Darren found a passion for sound and lighting, so we joined forces and I was back on stage.

Having seen Pink Floyd at Earls Court in 1994 on The Division Bell tour, I was keen to have a lot of Pink Floyd in the set and by 2004, we had become a Pink Floyd tribute band and with a name change, we'd became 'Out Of The Flesh'.

Darren was amassing an ever growing light and sound show, but some of the new members of the band were trying to pull the band in a direction that I was not happy with and with the addition of their appointed manager, my position soon became one of an outcast. Things came to a head when I and others were asked to leave the band that I had started!

As a result, the band split in two and I set about recruiting to keep my Pink Floyd vision and dream alive and the result was 'Time To Breathe'.

With the new line up completed, we based the set around the final two Pink Floyd tours and set out playing shows on a regular basis. We quickly became known as one of the leading Pink Floyd tributes and certainly one with a very impressive combination of music and visuals, recreating the full Pink Floyd live concert experience.

As with all bands, other commitments have led to various line up changes, but as we head towards 2010 and into our sixth year, with a couple of new members on board who bring something very new to the band, we have more ambitious plans than ever before lined up!

As our plans unfold, we can guarantee you a very special evening as we pay tribute to the classic sound of Pink Floyd.
